It was in a podcasting studio far far away....
i was finishing up Tech News 2Night Episode 489. My co worker Anthony was awesome enough to dress up as a character from Episode 7. In the show credits, I typed in the name of the character he dressed up as. To double check my work, I decided to type in the name of the character into Google.com in my Chrome browser. And within 0.03 seconds, Star Wars Episode 7 was ruined for me.
You might think, so how could a character's name ruin the movie? Well, after I typed in the name correctly to check the spelling, one of the autocompletes was the spoiler.
This was especially devastating for me since I was able to stay spoiler free. I never watched the final trailer or the special Japanese trailer. I only knew what Kylo Ren looked like because of a kids watch on sale at the local Nordstrom Rack. The experience was definitely not ruined for me as I got to see the movie with my awesome co workers and friends. The movie on the other hand was completely spoiled for me... The last minute.. by Google.. Maybe I'll switch to Cortana and Bing for a while...
Hey Cortana....
